I actually trained with Andy for a bit in 1987-88 when he lived in Philly. Dude was pretty strong. He loved Sustanon and Anadrol. He could've made an impact in the BBing world, but he didn't take his leg workouts seriously enough. He hated squatting, mainly because of his height. When he moved out to LA, I lost touch with him. He really thought Hollywood would embrace him and he was going to be the next big thing, but it didn't work that way. At least he gave it a good shot.

Yep, born and raised. Greater Northeast Philly. The gym we worked out was called C.F.I., then it became "Nirvana". It was basement bowling alley before that. The filled it in during the early 2000's and now it's a Wallgreens. Kinda sad when I drive by it everyday. I had some of the best workouts in my life in that dirty gym.

Andy is one of my close friends, he's one of the realest MOTHERFUCKERS you'll ever meet !!! Unfortunately we all have demons and he's had his own battles.

I've trained with him, partied with him, woke up in his spare bedroom, he slept in my car, been thrown out of the House of Blues with him (and Mitch King).

He has been training at Gold's Venice consistently for over 20 years. He has many friends in the BB world.

He's a good dude.

years ago i was in the golds in venice.. andy was there resting against a incline bench.. i knew who he was and when we happen to catch each others eye he reached over and asked my name and shook my hand.. he asked where i was from ect ect and we talked for a few minutes.. really cool guy and friendly as hell.. i happen to pass him again a few days later at golds and he again came over to say hello.. all a round good guy.. i hope he gets what he wants out of life.. seems to deserve it..

I'm originally from Northeast Philly, went to Northeast High! Moved to South Florida over 30 years ago! I first started training at the Y on Red Lion Rd. Then i joined Main Line Nautilus! It was the first club to have all Nautilus euipment in the country! It was owned by Roger Schwab, who was an IFBB judge, wrote for Ironman magazine. He was good friends with John Balik!

when did Main Line start up? early to mid 70s?
