This probably is no news to anyone but I was in the American Jewelry and Load a few weeks ago and they were filming. The hot little latino producer was asking the girl that was being filmed arguing with her boyfriend over a couch to be more dramatic. She had her scream for Ashley (the daughter) and jump up and down. Then the big security guard carried her out. Pretty comical. They taped me several times in the back drop of the fight and then a few times looking at jewelry in the case. Some shit was marked with masking tape like a garage sale. I was the only white guy in there. Everyone else was from crackheads, hookers, thugs, gangbangers and lowlifes. Pretty entertaining though. What else is there to do in Detroit? Thank God I was only in Detroit for 3 days.

Yea I saw that one as well, I could not tell if it was a guy or a girl. The fights are staged but people like that one is all that is in that place. No one was buying anything, everyone was in line pawning shit for crack or meth probably.

Yeah, that episode was nuts. I was hoping that the Jewish tough guy owner would have cracked that bitch in the head w a bat or something.

Les (the dad) was actually very cool, in fact everyone was nice. The only one that wasn't there was the son, and he seems like a twink anyway. They either felt sorry for me for being the only white guy in there besides them or they were impressed that I came in there among the scum that was there.

nearly every show is "staged" or scripted in some way. nothing happens exactly the way it winds up on TV.

True, but you would think they would not be so obvious about it so that everyone in there could see the producer giving instructions. But then again, everyone but me was probably high on meth or crack at the time.

Pawn Stars has been the #1 rated cable show for quite a while now. I was in Vegas over a month ago and made 3 attempts to go in there and all 3 times the line was too long. I just want to see some of the stuff they take in. American Jewelry (Hardcore Pawn) just takes in ghetto shit as where Gold and Silver Pawnshop (Pawn Stars) takes in some really unique stuff. I have talked to a few people that have been in there. Small place they say.
