I now see the roadblock to growth
« on: May 27, 2012, 12:32:08 PM »
I was the biggest UFC/MMA fan for the past 10+ years, but I am a really discouraged fan as of late.

With so many fighters pulling out of fights because of injuries and events and fights being pieced together with 'the next best healthy fighter' the popularity and success is surely going to suffer.  I am especially tired of 'substitute' PPV'S being priced the same as the original events.  This has all really dimmed my interest in MMA and unfortunately, I see no fix. With more money on the line, fighters train harder and don't want to fight injured.

Anyone see a solution to this problem?

BTW, to keep his BB related, could Overeem win the Olympia?

You see Vitor had to pull out with his fight with Wand?

Yes, that sucks. They are going to put Belcher in Vitor's place, and we're supposed to be satisfied?? WTF!

Last nights event is really the last straw for me.  None of those match-ups were even close to being equal to the original card. Silva should not be in the cage with Cain. Mir is great at selling a fight, but had no business being in there with Junior.

The UFC has to compromise with the fans when these things/injuries happen.

Its as if Dana and crew are out for a money grab every month no matter what. UFC is run by legit crooks so its no wonder they have no empathy to the fans.

legalize gh & test for all MMA fighters.

They'll be freakin bulletproof, beat each other to hamburger, and easy on the eyes for all the cocksmiths into that too.
