While I do not consider the secondary education system to be perfect by any means, I still prefer that my doctor and dentist have taken real coursework and labs as opposed to having learned their procedures online.

I agree that the system isn't perfect, and I'm sure there are numerous cost savings to be had.  I just don't know that it isn't worth some expense.

there should be zero college debt , absolutley everything can be learned on the internet. This college industry shouldnt even exist , its outdated by about 10 years now since the invention of the internet. same with public schools this industry should not even exist

you could kill these two industries totally, and hire some internet people to organize all the would be "college and public school knowledges" over the internets. alot less confusion and bullshit

Were already in a blended system, its only gonna get stronger as time goes on.
Education is changing rapidly, work internships and online learning are gonna get the average cost of degree down dramatically. Things are a changing as we speak, it really depends on your field to be honest.

It should be free, just like here in Sweden. Everyone has the right to an education and a steep fee excludes a big part of the population.

It's also a good investment for the state since an educated population is more productive and resource generating.

for some reason, I keep comparing the Education system these days to the Oil industry.........just in 1996, you would pay about $5200 in tuition for two semesters at your local community college, now, that same local community college is $16,000 for the whole school year.......who the fuck is getting all this money?.......I'm sure someone is, oh, after you get that degree, good luck in finding quick Employment these days........
