acne tips?

I'm looking for any suggestions on acne treatments.  I did one small cycle and the only negative side effect was the icky acne!  I used minimal amounts of EQ and had a few extra pimples for a few weeks and they were gone.  Then I started to use Anavar tabs and that is when it got bad.  I stopped after a week of using it and now it's been about 6 weeks.  It's cleared up ALOT but I'm still not normal.  My dermatologist gave me doxycycline (capsule) and clindamycin (lotion)  However,...I don't think the medicine is what helped it.  I think it was just time.  I there a better solution?  Will it ever go away?

actually, proactive works GREAT.  if its a little pricey for you, wal mart sells a generic vresion called "acnee free"  thats almost as good.  it will dry your face out the  first few days, but after that it will be fine.  theis cleared me up really well.  also, milk thistle helps with acne.  stay away from acutaine.  it will completely stop sebum (oil) production, but thats not always a good thing, plus its hell on your liver and kidneys.

doxycycline works great bro, it takes about a good month to take effect, I took it for 6months, didn't have one break out.

Accutane?   

I wouldn't even consider using Accutane unless your acne is very bad.  Accutane is really powerful stuff, and usually isn't prescribed unless one has severe acne.  It also has side effects you'd want to consider before taking it as well.  I was prescibed Accutane during high school and it worked extremely well, but the sides weren't much fun.

thank you for the help.  I thought about the proactive actually.  I am going to try another cycle soon so I guess I should probably wait.  Wouldn't the effects of the medication hurt the purpose of doing a cycle?

if you are thinking of using the accutaine, do a search and find out the sides.  to me, they really out weigh the pros of taking it.

the proactive is an over the counter topical treatment, like noxema or oxy pads.

it wont affect the cycle.

except to clear up your skin.
