Lesnar was 2000 NCAA heavyweight champion with a record of 106–5 , you'll never get that far without heart , what it comes down to is in the striking part of MMA (against Overeem) he was totally outclassed , he was out of his element , he didn't know how to defend himself ,it's no different than James Toney helpless on the mat against Couture .
Ah.
I should have stated - Lesnar has no heart for MMA, getting hit in particular.
My training partner was like that - he was high school champ that went on to win some open tournaments afterwards, and then transitioned into MMA with me when I got out... Dude loved to wrestle, but simply would not do any standup if it meant getting hit in the face. After a while he just gave up because he wasnt progressing, and went back to wrestling.
Maybe thats what Im basing my conclusion of Lesnar on, but the attitude seems awfully familiar to me. Lesnar simply doesnt want to fight when it means he may have to get hit.
Me, I personally enjoyed getting hit. But Im weird, I think.
