 Las Vegas-based boxer Floyd Mayweather is due to report to jail this morning to begin his 87-day sentence for a domestic violence conviction. Mayweather was the highest-paid athlete in the world over the past 12-months, earning $85 million from his two fights against Victor Ortiz and Miguel Cotto.

Pathetic.  That fucker earned 85 million for two fights with pillows on his fists.  Why do people still watch boxing?

Duk Koo Kim, Johnny Owen, Benny Paret, Leavander Johnson, etc...... and the legions of punch drunk boxers disagree with the pillow theory. I don't begrudge boxers the cash they make, it's an absolutely brutal sport, and very unkind to the guys with long careers.

I continue to watch boxing because when it's a good match and the fighters are hungry, there's not much that could match it. Watch the old Duran, Tyson, Ali/Frazier, S R Leonard/Hearns, etc.... you'll see it.

Don't know about that. The big man seems pretty angry these days. He took out one of them snake handlers while preaching to the very man himself.
