You have to understand how bodybuilding is judged in order to understand how he could win the symmetry round despite not being the most ' symmetrical '

All rounds are physiques rounds , in the ' symmetry ' round they judge all of the criteria at once and DO NOT judge symmetry as a separate and distinct entity , the same as in the ' muscularity ' round and the ' posing ' rounds

They don't judge only posing in the ' posing ' round , they judge muscular bulk , balance & proportion , density & dryness and posing and presentation ALL at once

these rounds ' symmetry ' ' muscularity ' and ' posing ' are all just names

When a bodybuilder is being judged in the ' symmetry ' round the judges are looking at his-or-her symmetry but also who is carrying the most muscular bulk , who is harder or drier , who is the most complete , who is presenting his physique the best ALL AT ONCE and then at the end of the rounds the high and low scores are tossed out

Nope because back in 1993 I was like the rest of the ignorant fan boys bitching & moaning about how Flex Wheeler was robbed and NO WAY Dorian should have won , and how he didn't represent what the bodybuilding ideal should be and then I learned how contests were judged and then I come to the conclusion that my personal preference doesn't mean jack when it comes to how contests are judged , I also really figured out just how far and above Dorian was back in 93 in relation to his competition and how wrong I was

I would NEVER want to look like Dorian personally but that doesn't mean I can't see how dominant his physique was , I'm a huge Steve Reeves fan and as far as anyone whose physique I wish I could look like it would be him but it doesn't stop me from coming to the conclusion he would bury Reeves in a contest
