yes, they did. You were the first person to start using quotes to support your argument. Ask anyone from the Truce thread (e.g. Hulkster, Iceman, etc) Then when we began using a couple quotes saying Ronnie was better, you posted more quotes in favor of Dorian and claimed this was "corroboration of evidence." So I compiled a list of every quote that favors Ronnie. Soon, the number of experts who said Ronnie is better outnumbered yours 10:1. Not only did the number of quotes blow yours out of the water but some of them were from your bodybuilding Bible, Flex magazine (e.g. Team Flex saying Ronnie has the best physique ever, Flex voting Ronnie as having the best back). Furthermore, the same experts you used to quote regularly even contradicted some your claims (e.g. Peter McGough and Shawn Perine both saying only a precontest version of Dorian could match Ronnie). Face it: you played the quote game and lost. Everything that followed is damage control by you to save embarrasment

Who started the quote game. In all honesty though, does it REALLY matter what a so-called 'expert' says? This game can be played all day long. You'll always find a quote willing to support your point. I find a quote that says Shawn is better than Flex, then a quote that says Flex is better than Shawn. What exactly is now proved? It's up to the 13 judges in the end. We'll never know who really was the best, but in my opinion, I think Dorian just edges him out.

epic failure at making comparisons. Dorian is a 10 foot tall giant in one of them and you used a stretched pic of Dorian in another

everyone else just has an opinion

Dorian dominated Flex Wheeler during his best year 1993 , obliterated him , Flex 1998 a shell of his former self goes up against an Olympia best Ronnie and Ronnie just narrowly beats him in one of the closest Olympia to this day , and Ronnie is supposed to beat Dorian?

Narc, You can't compare various pics from different years of Yates and Coleman.  You have to pick photos from when they were at their all-time bests.  '98 Coleman beats everybody. EVERYBODY.

you can't take judging from different contests and use it as a whole, there is no linear connection.

1993: Dorian is the incumbent champ, shows up looking great and wins the show easily

1998: there is no champ, and flex is actually the heavy favorite and was called out first. Ronnie was just making a name for himself and won the show

It's a bullshit argument

Really? Ruhl always looked like a bloated bag of shit.  Someone like Dillet beating Zane?  I can see that.  It's mass with aesthetics.
Bro I am with you about what you say and I think Zane had a huge impact on our sport, one of my favourite of all time, but I am only giving you the point of view of the IFBB judging format, it wouldn`t be close, in fact Zane wouldn`t beat anyone at todays Olympia but if he lived in this era and did what they did, would be a different story.

Yes you can Groink, Dorian destroyed Flex, Ronnie didn`t, now what version of Flex does the ifbb judges say was better, without a doubt the ifbb judges (yes every single one of them) would say the one Dorian beat.

Pay attention, judges gave Ronnie an 8, judges gave Flex a 7 = Ronnie wins, same judges gave the better version of Flex in 93 an 8, same judges gave Dorian 93 a 10, simple analogy, simple mathematics.

I know what you said and you were dead wrong and now you're back peddling by claiming he was ' initially ' overlooked NO the fuck he wasn't stop typing this bullshit. You claimed he was overlooked in the first round , I on't care how many people have ' point this out ' they like you are DEAD WRONG

You can NOT be overlooked in the first round by being compared NINE fucking times in it. Just because he wasn't in the first call-out you stupidly claimed he was ' overlooked ' it's typical of you , commit to an ignorant position , get called on it and then keep typing the same bullshit despite being proven dead wrong. You're the idiot who posts pictures from the second round to claim he was overlooked in the first , this and the fact you think he got overlooked ( by being called out nine times ) proves you don't have a fucking clue on what you're talking about and then have the audacity to claim you're gonna teach us about how contests are judged  ::)

dude seriously just STFU you're embarrassing yourself even more by sticking to your bullshit. you and Neo egt constantly get exposed for not knowing what you're talking about and then continue to troll in Yates threads , proud and dumb is a bad combo for both of you.

I disagree , we know that Ronnie competed with Dorian and was always beaten , however he wasn't at his best , so when Ronnie was at his best Dorian retired however Flex was still around competing , and I don't anyone will argue Flex was near his prime when Ronnie beat him , however we can gauge how Ronnie would do against Dorian based off of how he did against Flex , and he had his hands full with Flex and it doesn't have anything to do with there being no incumbent champ , Ronnie and Flex went back and forth well before the Olympia and both had the ability to beat each other if one was one and the other was off. What they both have in common is neither could beat Dorian.

wrong, Flex never competed against 01 ASC Ronnie. So we have no yardstick to measure how Ronnie would stack up against Dorian. You can try to connect the dots all you want "well, Flex was close to his prime in 93 but was off in 98 which was 3 years before the 01 ASC minus Flex divide by 3... blah blah blah." It doesn't matter. Since none of us saw them in person, we must defer to experts who did. Every single one of them says that 01 ASC Ronnie would beat any stage version of Dorian.

Team Flex - http://www.flexonline.com/training/49

"We've said before that the 245 pounds or so physique with which [Ronnie Coleman] won the 2001 Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic is the best ever - unbeatable."

Peter McGough - Flex, August 2005

"Personally, the best physique I ever saw onstage (there was a contender for best-ever that I saw offstage: those crazy photos of sock-footed Dorian Yates taken seven weeks before the 1993 Mr. Olympia) was Ronnie's at the 2001 Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic. He was cut, full, trim in the waist and a monster (proving that when you're supersharp, you look superbig) at 244 pounds. Ronnie sporting that look would, in my opinion, be unbeatable."

Shawn Perine - Ironage, Dec 11, 2004

"As much as I love Haney and my IA champs, I think Ronnie circa '98 or at the 2001 Arnold is pretty much untouchable. Except by Dorian Yates 6 weeks out from the '93 O as photographed by our own KMH. Both men, on those specific occasions carried so much dry muscle mass in good proportion and with good lines that it's almost unfair to compare them to others."

Greg Merritt - Flex, April 2009

"I submit that the Ronnie Coleman version 2.0 we saw in four contests from the '98 Olympia to the '01 Arnold (weighing between 244 and 264) is the best combination of size, shape and striations in the history of bodybuilding."

Jim Stoppani - Flex, July 2005

"Has anyone ever displayed a more muscular, more shredded, higher-quality physique than a 247-pound Ronnie Coleman at the 2001 Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic?"

Raymond Cassar - Muscletime Editor and Photographer

"There is no one alive that can beat Ronnie Coleman when he is at his best - No One! (and his best for me was when he won the 2001 Arnold Classic)"

Flex competed with Ronnie 1998 Olympia , what's the difference between Ronnie 1998 Olympia and 2001 ASC? he had no bitch tits at the Arnold , 98 O and 01 ASC are almost identical what's the difference? he was both bone dry and rock hard at 249 for the Olympia and 247 for the Arnold , I'm just DYING to hear your explanation on how he's better in 01  ;D I can't wait for this one

"We've said before that the 245 pounds or so physique with which [Ronnie Coleman] won the 2001 Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic is the best ever - unbeatable."

This quote is inaccurate STOP USING IT

As we do this interview, you'’re 10 weeks out. What do you weigh now and what do you aim to weigh on the day of the Olympia?

Right now, I'’m 305 pounds which is about what I was when I started my diet last year. I want to get the hardness and condition I had in 2003, and I will be lighter than at that show, maybe 10 pounds lighter maybe as much as 15 pounds lighter. Being real hard and full at 280 pounds will make me look real big.

We'’ve said before that the 245 pounds or so physique with which you won the 2001 Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic is the best ever! unbeatable. Any thoughts about returning to that weight and look?

I can't return to it. I tried to do it at the 2001 and 2002 Olympias and got in a heap of trouble. [In 2001 Jay Cutler was leading Coleman after the prejudging, and in 2002 Kevin Levrone nearly overcame a fading Coleman.] At that bodyweight, things went wrong with depleting and carbing up, so that physique is now part of history. I can'’t go back to that. I been and gone and done it. You have to move on. Things change what was the perfect car in 2001 is not the perfect car four years later

Put it context , it was Ronnie's best physique ever it was unbeatable compared to this guys he was competing with. They were specifically talking about how HE didn't look better heavier , has absolutely NOTHING to do with Dorian Yates or his physique being better than every physique ever

That's been amended but you already know that  ;) Ronnie 01ASC is Ronnie 1998 Olympia with no bitch tits

At least you got this one right this time instead of changing it and it doesn't matter it's his opinion and so is this  ;)

Shawn Perine Ironage  May 9 2009

Although I prefer the Reeves-Zane-Paris physique, I still contend that there was never a more complete, muscular human being to walk the earth than Dorian on the day Kevin Horton shot him pre-93 O. I was never so shocked by a set of bodybuilding photos as when I went through that article. Even Ronnie at his best, lacked Dorian's hardness and certainly his calves.

Oppsss forgot that part too didn't you?  ;) he admits it's subjective and don't forget this from the same article

Taking all criteria into account, including his lasting impact, I believe Schwarzenegger is the all-time greatest

Sorry Ronnie

And Dorian wasn't competing when Ronnie was at his best was he? another quote that had to do with Ronnie's personal best and how he was unbeatable compared to the guys he was competing with HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Dorian Yates

To sum this up NONE of them are judges all of them are entitled to their opinion doesn't make it fact and Ronnie 2001 ASC is Ronnie 1998 Olympia without bitch tits

Have you seen the 93 O? I'm thinking no.

You know I was like you back in 1993 and I recall having this conversation with a two guys at the gym , how the fuck could Dorian beat Flex , I cried politics , and how Flex was robbed , etc , etc , etc

It bugged me so much I actually was motivated to research on how contests where judged and how they came to their conclusions and then I realized how wrong I was and how far ahead Dorian was and at that point I separated what I preferred to what actually wins , or what I think should win from what does win.

Bingo.

I really don't care about the subject that much anymore either , hence why I walked away from the Truce Thread , it's trolls like Hulkster & Neo who still care hence why they are in another Dorian Yates thread trying to prove he really , really was better than Dorian  ;D and I have to admit I love making them two look like idiots , like exposing Neo and his worked quotes and his ignorance and his popular opinion  and Hulkster and his retarded statements like Ronnie was overlooked by being called out NINE times and the symmetry round you hit mandatories LMFAO
