The number of posts and replies to posts made do not make people alike. As an example, I respond to your posts, and yet I believe we are opposite in many ways. The truth is neither of us ‘knows’ the other.
Yes, when the mood strikes me, I visit the politics board. Not because neither I nor anyone else here have any real impact on the political scene or even on other Getbig members. But because, to be brutally honest, it sometimes alleviates boredom, which is caused mostly by my own laziness. This is shameful because I know for a fact that there are much more meaningful and productive ways for me to spend my time, rather than conversing on Getbig in sometimes painfully circular conversations with folks I do not personally know and likely never will.
Perhaps when the weather around here improves, I will involve myself in more productive activities, like gardening or taking walks. In the meantime, there is some comfort in knowing I am not unique among Getbig members who seem to have too much time on their hands and choose to waste it as I do. Have you ever wondered if any of us have jobs, families, hobbies, or responsibilities?
