again, what did I spin?   wisconsin's numbers suck.  they sucked before.  he's balanced the budget but they still are 50th or thereabouts on job losses, right?

I dont know what i'm spinning, dude.   clarify please, so i can admit i'm owned or i can argue.  This point is about the BUDGET, which walker did great on.  But JOBS?  Not so good.

Just wait until the OFFICIAL numbers are posted by the feds.  The numbers will be / are based on jobs count, not a survey.  8)
Unemployment is at it's lowest since 2008.

There will be a lot {more} of crow pie being served in about 3 weeks.

WTF??
Doesn't matter what side you're on or even if you don't have a side.  This recall election should've never taken place.

There were no grounds for it, no malfeasance or misconduct.  No corruption, no broken laws, no scandal, no crimes committed.  Just a bunch of whiners who don't like the policies of the (2010) ELECTED official(s).

Walker's had 1 and 1/2 years.

Wisconsin's economy is one of the worst in the country, jobs suck...

Walked got his way on unions - and it didn't cure anything.

2/3 of the $ in this campaign came from outside the state - and we all know he with the money wins elections 94% of the time (Hi, romney GOP winner).

SO really, this is a case of wisc voters being stupid and easily swayed by an assload of $.  Theeir economy will continue to suck.  Walker's "WIN" ensures things continue to suck.  Bravo.
You are in such a fucking lala land.
Dude turned his state around. Balaned the budget, added jobs, UE down to 6.something percent.

He got his way - and it did fix things you lieing shill.

No More Excuses - the WI recall hand grenade has exploded in Democrats' hands
The American Spectator ^ | June 6, 2012 | Ross Kaminsky
Posted on June 6, 2012 6:25:23 AM EDT by Cincinatus' Wife

Frustrated union and Democratic Party leaders from Madison,Wisconsin, to Washington,D.C., while wiping the Badger State recall election bloodbath from their shoes, are bombarding the nation with excuses, mitigating circumstances, and outright denial of their own declining reality.

A leading excuse emanating from Democrats everywhere, not least from the Wisconsin Democratic Party which is still stinging from President Barack Obama's refusal to campaign for their man, is that the campaign of the past and future governor, Scott Walker, substantially outraised and outspent his Democrat challenger, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.

It is true that Walker received more financial support, including from outside the state, than Barrett did. But the lesson to learn is not the truism that money can impact elections; it is that Republicans, conservatives, capitalists, and perhaps even a few libertarians were willing and able to match, and then outmatch the famously deep pockets of Big Labor. Republicans were every bit the equal of Democrats in grassroots organizing, in passion for their candidate, and in influencing independent voters without whom the margin of victory would not have been possible.

.....Despite the brave words of Jay Carney and his Oompa Loompas in the low-ratings arm of the news media, this election portends grave danger for Barack Obama's reelection. Beyond prying open the wallets of pro-liberty activists, Democrats and their supporters made a historic strategic error in forcing this recall.

By doing so, they forced the RepublicanParty, which in 2008 nominated as their presidential candidate a man who admitted publicly that he was computer-illiterate while Obama bombarded us on Facebook and with text messages, into the 21st century. With improved organizing, data acquisition and management, and get-out-the-vote efforts, all of which were substantial tactical advantages for the Obama campaign nearly four years ago, the recall hand grenade has exploded in Democrats' hands....

A Recall the Left Would Rather Forget

Posted By Arnold Ahlert On June 6, 2012 @ 12:47 am In Daily Mailer,FrontPage | 9 Comments

On Tuesday, Republican Governor Scott Walker handily defeated Democrat Tom Barrett, and Republican Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch did the same against Democrat Mahlon Mitchell. Both triumphed by nine-point margins amidst heavy voter turnout. Thus, the first state that allowed collective bargaining for government employees beginning in 1959 has come full circle. Walker’s victory is a repudiation of government unions that have strained state budgets across the nation, and may mark the first step towards bringing the nation back to fiscal sanity.

Tuesday was not without drama. Democrats accused Walker proponents of cheating, contending that calls were being made telling people if they’d signed the recall, they didn’t need to vote. State Sen. Lena Taylor (D-Milwaukee) sent a letter to Government Accountability Board Director Kevin Kennedy requesting an investigation into “such persons that are committing election fraud and misdemeanor crimes by their individual or group communications.” On the other side, an alleged Michigan resident calling himself Mike phoned into WMAL’s The Chris Plante Show claiming that Michigan’s “Democrat Unions” had organized a convoy of 4 buses, filled with Michigan Democrats who intended to illegally vote for Tom Barrett. And according to Election Protection, a D.C.-based voters rights group, hundreds of voters called a hotline to complain about being asked for photo ID even though it wasn’t required for this election, and about difficulty voting due to a new 28-day residency requirement in the state.

The days immediately preceding the election were equally colorful. Bernadette Gillick, a University of Minnesota professor, accused Walker of fathering a love child with her college roommate, a woman called “Ruth” to protect her identity. Walker denied the allegation calling it “horrific” and “ridiculous.” More importantly, so did “Ruth” in a subsequent interview with the WCMC. “I can confirm that it was not Scott Walker who is my daughter’s father,” she said. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Online ”Watchdog” reporter Daniel Bice corroborated the denial, further noting that Ruth believes “Dr. Gillick is mixing up stories.” Bice also checked Wisconsin’s Consolidated Court Automation Programs (CCAP) and discovered “it has taken a family court suit involving Scott Alan Walker and mixed it up with the governor, Scott Kevin Walker.” Despite such an obvious debunking, the story remained posted on left-leaning blogs as the latest reason to oust the Governor.

In another telling development, the United States Department of Justice announced Monday that they would be monitoring election returns in the various locales around the country, including the city of Milwaukee, to ensure compliance with the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Milwaukee is Wisconsin’s largest city and Democrats believed a large turnout in the city where Barrett beat Walker by almost 50 points in 2010 would be the key to an upset victory.

Many critics were skeptical regarding the DOJ’s seemingly newfound interest in protecting the integrity of the voting process. They cited U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder’s indifference to two New Black Panther Party members intimidating voters in Philadelphia in 2008, his lawsuits challenging voter ID requirements in Texas and South Carolina despite validation of voter ID by the U.S. Supreme Court, and DOJ’s latest attempt to prevent Florida from cleaning up their voter rolls.

But by mid-evening Tuesday, none of the gamesmanship mattered. The margin of Walker’s victory was large enough that any attempt to challenge it is doomed to fail.

Ironically, the election may have been the smaller part of a much bigger story. Government unions in Wisconsin have already experienced a precipitous membership fall off after the reforms Mr. Walker and the then-Republican-controlled legislature enacted went in effect. One union in particular, the Wisconsin branch of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) saw its membership decline by more than half, from 62,818 in March 2011, to 28,745 in February, according to a person who has viewed AFSCME’s figures. A small number of that decline was attributed to worker layoffs. Yet it is very likely that reform eliminating automatic dues collection was the critical factor here. And AFSCME was not alone: 6,000 of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) 17,000 Wisconsin members quit as well.

Thus, the long-standing idea that union bosses represent the interests of their members has been dealt a severe blow. It is a blow that has national implications as well. The hundreds of millions of dollars union leaders have spent on political campaigns are overwhelmingly amassed from mandatory dues collections. Dues that can no longer be taken for granted in Wisconsin–with more states likely to follow.

A de facto union monopoly was broken in Wisconsin as well. WEA Trust, a health insurance company created by the state’s largest teachers union in 1970, was routinely gouging its members for health insurance, because union contracts insisted that it provide insurance to most of the state’s school districts. Prior to reform, coverage for single-employees was $734 for schools with WEA Trust, and $614 for schools that contracted with other companies. Reform eliminated unions’ ability to advocate for WEA Trust, allowing schools to contract with other companies. As a result, WEA Trust has been forced to significantly lower its prices to remain competitive. The reduction allowed the Appleton school district to save $3 million per year. Since Wisconsin has hundreds of school districts, hundreds of millions of dollars in savings could eventually be realized. Add to the mix a $3 billion budget deficit that has been eliminated, a dropping unemployment rate now sitting below the national average, and lower property taxes, and it is clear the efforts of Scott Walker and state Republicans who were handed control in the 2010 election have made their mark.

The people of Wisconsin now seem to have validated those reforms as well, and the margin of victory for both Walker and Kleefisch exceeded even the most optimistic polling data in their favor. In addition, all four GOP Senators also facing recalls triumphed over their Democratic opponents — by large double-digit margins in each case. Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) beat Lori Compas (D-Fort Atkinson) in the 13th Senate District; Sen. Van Wanggaard (R-Racine) beat Sen. John Lehman (D-Racine) in the 21st Senate District; Sen. Terry Moulton (R-Chippewa Falls) beat Rep. Kristin Dexter (D-Eau Claire) in the 23rd Senate District; and Rep. Jerry Petrowski (R-Marathon) defeated Rep. Donna Seidel (D-Wausau) for Pam Galloway’s seat in the 29th Senate District. Galoway opted to quit rather than face a recall election. As a result, the state Senate remains evenly split 16-16.

It will be interesting to see if such a resounding victory at every level carries over to the presidential election in November. Barack Obama won the state handily in 2008. As of now, Wisconsin can no longer be taken for granted by Democrats. Neither can the long-standing and insidious practice of union campaign contributions going to politicians who kowtow to union demands in return.

In other words, for those Americans interested in limited and fiscally responsible government that represents the peoples’ interests, Wisconsin is a harbinger of many things to come.

Almost forgot to mention that a Republican ran as a Democrat on the ballot to water down the vote...

The opposite of that happens in Illinois every single election for anything. Doesn't make it right, but I chuckled when I saw that.

In Illinois you get to vote for the Democrat, the Democrat running as the serious Republican candidate who is also backed by Democrat money or the actual Republican who has no chance. And often times there isn't even a real Republican to vote for or anyone else for that matter.

But our great state is in fine shape, thank you very much.

Big Labor's Big Boo-Boo
By C. Edmund Wright

Wow.  Where to start?

The "it's gonna be a late night in Madison" notion was virtually over by the end of Happy Hour -- which no doubt did cause some very late nights instead in Washington and Chicago.  With little or no happiness at all.  And naturally there were also the comparisons to the vibes of the night Scott Brown took down the Kennedy seat in 2009.  More on both of these dynamics shortly.

The real story is: what happened this spring in Wisconsin was not a recall election at all.  Pure and simple, it was a mulligan.  A childish do-over.  Moreover, it was a battle of government union members and their families against pretty much everyone else.  And when that really crystallized in the minds of the voters, the unions' cause was doomed.  The name Tom Barrett is irrelevant here.  The biggest losers last night -- and there were many -- were big labor generally and public service unions specifically.

Succinctly put, the petty, protected, pampered lefty government unions -- still indignant over Scott Walker's 2010 win -- simply threw a 75 million dollar tantrum as a third do over on that same election.  And the unions' reward from the citizens of Wisconsin for a year and a half of hell was a resounding "go to hell" of epic proportions.  And if anyone doubts that there is a God -- and that He has a sense of humor -- the Wisconsin State Motto is, yep, "Forward."

You can't make this stuff up.

Making stuff up, however, is what the entire leftist media-Democratic Party complex is doing today, blaming everything and everyone from the Citizens United decision, voter fraud, a bogus robo-call, George Bush -- and probably even Brett Favre.  MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell even pretended the election did not happen, focusing on Mitt Romney's job creation record in Massachusetts instead.  It's all very funny.  And satisfying.

Now the losers:

Big Labor: Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell didn't want to admit it on Fox, but big labor was absolutely the huge loser last night and in fact, they have been losing ever since Walker took office.  It was the behavior of the unions in the Madison riots that really started the general public's focusing in on just how much these "public servants" are now making in salaries, pensions and health care, and how damned entitled they feel to all of this.  That is what started all of this mess.  The public was also tuned in to the unseemly nature of public sector unions per se and their relationship with politicians they get elected.  And perhaps most devastating of all is the fact that some government unions in Wisconsin have lost over half of their own membership during this protracted battle.  And oh by the way, public sector unions started in Wisconsin.  In 1959.

Democratic Party: It goes without saying that if big labor loses, the Democratic Party loses.  Actually, we have Wisconsin to thank that this now goes without saying.  The past 21 months have been a highly visible object lesson for all to see.  Moreover, the Democrats have lost much of their built in fund raising via the union mechanism thanks to some of Walker's reforms.

MSM and their exit polling: As 9pm EDT rolled around last night, all media outlets were buzzing with word that the exit polls were 50-50 and Ed Schultz was settling in "for a long night."  He had no idea at the time.  These exit polls excited the same fantasies that these same media outlets had been feeding that "the race was tightening" in the final week.  Actually, it was not tightening at all.  One thing the exit polls showed was that almost everybody who voted had long made up their minds.  And why not?  You're either on the gummint gravy train or your're not.  What's to decide?  How this escaped the geniuses in the media is another story.  But they lost last night in a big way.

Obama: This one is a no brainer, and was pretty much obvious when he decided to avoid Wisconsin this week like yellow in the game Twister.  But it goes deeper than that. His failure to do more than send a last minute Twitter message in support of Barrett has to rankle the unions, who have in the past done so much to get Obama and other Democrats elected. Looking ahead to November, their coffers are depleted, and enthusiasm for giving money to Obama, manning phone banks, and canvassing drives has to diminish not just in Wisconsin but beyond.

GOP Establishment: Setting Reince Preibus aside for a second, the GOP Establishment took a bit of a whipping last night -- because Walker is exactly the kind of Republican the establishment constantly warns us is poison for the party. Preibus gets a lot of grief because he is RNC Chair and they normally deserve it . But Preibus was key to Walker's first win as well as Senator Johnston's defeat of Russ Feingold in 2010.  We can only hope that now Preibus will have more cred in the halls of the RNC offices inside the Beltway.

Gop Consultants / Conventional Wisdom See above, but the consultant class deserves their own space in the biggest loser category.  They have cost us many elections over the decades, and last night was a huge blow to their entire foundational template.  This may be Walker's biggest gift of all to conservatives.

Bipartisanship / No Labels Crowd: The stunning vitriol and passion in this election, along with the results of the recent Pew Research findings, have dealt the notion of "getting along" and bipartisanship a huge blow.  Actually, reality is the problem with bipartisanship.  This is a nation divided on the role of government and government unions and all of the attendant spending and control in our lives.  Many of us knew that already.  Those that didn't surely should now, after seeing the last 21 months unfold in Madison and after perusing the Pew results as well.

Julia: The entire nanny state government dependency mindset -- as demonstrated by the Obama 2012 cartoon character Julia -- took a big whipping last night as well.  The folks who pay for all of the government union members and for all of the Julias had a collective awakening and said enough is enough.  If there's another installment of Julia, and I suspect there will not be, she would be very unhappy watching MSNBC in last night's episode.

Now, as pleasing as this result is, this is not an indication that Mitt Romney can necessarily come rolling into Wisconsin and win.  While Walker, his Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch and several State Senators won last night, surveys indicate that even in this environment Romney would have lost.  Besides, rarely has Romney shown the cojones on any issue that Walker has shown consistently.

Which brings us to the contrast with the Brown win in 09.  The Walker win is even sweeter and more significant.  Scott Brown campaigned on tea party principles, and while avoiding the term celebrated those principles in his victory speech. But he has not always voted that way -- and will run against Princess Warren as a moderate.

Scott Walker meanwhile campaigned outwardly as a tea party type in 2010,  governed that way absolutely -- campaigned again as a tea party candidate this year -- and won an even bigger victory. Now, in his speech last night, Walker said that "he's committed to working together" and to is determined to "put this election behind us." Of course he was sounding the obligatory good winner attitude, as he should have.  We all know better.  The liberals, their unions, their President, their media -- all have to be defeated because there is no working with them.

And last night, we did.  Soundly.

DUmmie FUnnies 06-06-12 (Skinner Loses It Over Wisconsin Recall)
DUmmie FUnnies ^ | June 6, 2012 | Head DUmmie Skinner, DUmmies, and PJComix-

Posted on Wednesday, June 06, 2012 7:15:52 AM by PJ-Comix

Normally the one DUmmie who tries to maintain a sense of equilibrium in the midst of bad news is Head DUmmie Skinner. But not this time. The CRUSHING defeat last night in the Wisconsin recall election was too much even for him as you can tell by the profane primal scream title of his THREAD, "F*CK." Yes, as you can see Head DUmmie Skinner DUmmie loses it and, most entertainingly, so do the rest of the DUmmmies. So let us now watch0 the DUmmies go Primal Scream over the Wisconsin recall election results in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, harvesting the comedy gold DUFU nuggets generated by the recall, is in the [brackets]:

 F*CK.

[Screeched Head DUmmie Skinner helplessly at the cold, cruel world.]

 Double f*ck. <"> p>

[Echoed another DUmmie in the thralls of helpless rage.]

Sounds like they're getting more brazen and couldn't care less if it looks like they cheated.

[Yes, those preset Diebold machines are nice.]

Those figures make no sense

[When the shock wears off we'll place you on Suicide Watch.]

Sounds like the fix is in. There is no way Milwaukee and Madison could have already been counted.

[Count me highly entertained.]

I know. This is the New America. We're doomed.

[Suicide Watch for you too, DUmmie.]

WHAT?! Already?! SO DEPRESSING. I'm f*cking sick.

[Three is NOT a crowd when it comes to the WI recall Suicide Watch.]

This is f*cking hard to take

[Think of it as a practice run for November.]

The noose just gets tighter every time they regain power. I can hardly breathe.

[Make it easier on yourself and just stop trying.]

 I am officially depressed.

[I am officially entertained.]

 It's not even close. F*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck!

[Ha ha ha ha!]

. We all were watching Al Sharpton and Ed Shultz and they had us pumped to win.

[And you actually believed those frauds which makes me laugh.]

I know. I'm crushed. I feel SO BAD.

[Have you tried electro-shock therapy or do we need to go the lobotomy route?]

What were they saying? June 5th 2004, ronald reagan died.

[Win another one for The Gipper!]

It may be worse in November.

[As well as even FUnnier.]

 NOOO NOOO NOO NOOOOOOOOOOOO

 [SOOO SOOO SOO SOOOOOOOOOOOO FUnnie!]

 We needed more national help.

[Hey! Didn't you notice Obama barely lift his finger to tweet in his help?]

I don't think anything we can do will change what is going to happen to this country come November. It's bought and paid for...

[All you can do know is meekly lean forward, drop your pants, and grab your socks as we barcode butt brand you for your Walmart Detention Center processing.]

I've worked hard for Barrett. I'm devistated, along with so many others tonight.

[Boo hoo! Cry me a river into the DUmmie hankie.]

Paper ballots should be used in ALL elections !!!

[How about photo IDs?]

Barrett campaign says it won't concede Wisconsin recall race to Walker yet, citing ongoing voting

[This DUmmie is about to have a gigantic letdown.]

And the DLC idiots in control of the DNC just sat by twiddling thier thumbs.

[And tweeting in their support.]

BULLSHIT!!!! I'm calling bullshit on the results. For there to be a clean Republican sweep with the type of turn out Wisconsin has had. There's no way. All that money and robo-calling and all the other dirty tricks, I think we know who the FRAUDSTERS are. Wonder just how big the f*cking red shift is gonna be? Good for Barrett for not conceding!!!!!

[Another Suicide Watch inductee.]

I wonder if they're using those "smart" voting machines from Diebold. They're so smart, if you vote for the wrong candidate, they just switch it over for ya! Bullshit bullshit BULLSHIT! GodDAMN!!!!!!

[Heads you lose. Tails we win.]

Election was rigged. This is bullshit. 50/50 going into it, yet Walker wins by landslide with unprecedented voter turn-out? Voter turn-out ALWAYS helps Dems. It's bullshit.

[You're going to be VERY ENTERTAINING this November.]

I give up. They've broken me.

[Good. So no resistance from you while we barcode butt brand you for Walmart Detention Center processing.]

I'm drinking wine tonight. This is very disappointing.

[Chateau Thunderbird?]

WTF??? I'm checking out of reality....

[...And checking into the Walmart Detention Center.]

You win some and lose some but losing this big really hurts. Unions for state employees will be dismantled state by state now.

[And your minds are being dismantled as well.]

 we're scrooooowed.

[First wait for Ben Burch to arrive.]

Throw me in the dungeon and throw away the key.....

[But first you must lean forward for your barcode butt branding.]

I . do. not. understand. what . happened.

 [You. lost. bigtime.]

Obama Campaign Spins: Wisconsin Loss 'Won't Tell Us Much' About November Election
by Dana Loesch

The Obama campaign was eager to spin the massive Wisconsin loss into some sort of win for themselves tonight. The talking point they settled on was that the defeated public unions sent a "strong message" to the victorious Governor.

The Obama campaign — which has largely kept President Obama himself out of the Wisconsin recall election — puts out a statement saying that a message had been sent to Gov. Scott Walker, despite his win.

Yes, the Obama campaign sent a message to Walker, alright: we lose, consistently.

This is the third time the Obama-backed left in Wisconsin has tried to usurp the will of the voters, and they failed. Hard. Walker won 36% of Wisconsin's union households, which isn't surprising, considering how workers reacted when emancipated from forced dues.

The Democrats went from inflated confidence ("This is a dry run for November ... they'll see our organization efforts") to this:

"I know the president is aware of the election. I think he's got some other responsibilities," Carney said. "I know that he's not following it minute by minute ... You know that he tweeted about it earlier.

Reince Priebus said tonight on CNN that "President Obama left Democrats at the altar in Wisconsin." They're spinning hard in the hopes you'll forget that.

________________________ ________________________ _____

LOL ! ! ! ! !
