  This week, Spain's treasury minister, Cristobal Montoro, bluntly admitted, it was "technically Impossible" for Spain to bail itself out, and that the country needed help to access funds.

It's a shame.  Spain has some of the best cultural history in the world.  I hope they pull out of it.

Was just there for a week with the wife, stayed in Sitges. They didn't seem too bothered. Heard more talk of Greece going bankrupt or backing out of the euro completely? In Ireland now for a wedding, too busy getting smashed to care....

No - Spain's GDP-to-debt ratio is about 78%. Greece's is 165%. In other words, the country is completely insolvent.

Spain has the highest level of unemployment in Europe though.

It's only a matter of time before Germany pulls out of the Euro.  Why would they want to be in when they are the only country doing well?  Should they pull the weight for all the slackers?
