;D on e-bay 2 zuver 50 lb plates on sale from the zuver family

Funk are those restored? In that condition, they'd make an excellent display piece.

BTW - I'm telling the Hoffman family that you're a traitor. ;D

They are restored by me. I painted them the first time back in the 60s.
The Hoffman's would love them.

They're really nice plates, and I love odd ball stuff like that, but the most I'd go is maybe $5/6 a pound. That being said, I bet one of the big collectors snaps them up, they're in great shape, and you've got the direct from the family connection.

Goudy, they're built like quality regular weights, and I've seen guys that lifted there, and they never mentioned them being odd or off for the smaller sizes. They have mentioned no really used the giant sizes though.

Ther were never any complaints.

Sure!
I'm presuming you're new to the site. The main G&O board is a very "anything goes" type place with lots of trolling and ball-busting, most of which is in good fun.

Other boards (like History, etc.) are reserved for more serious discussion about their respective topics. I hope we can look forward to some good stories from you over there!

Are you saying that Robert Zuver is gayer than a wet white chocolate spermaccino, with rainbow sprinkles and pinapple syrup?

Maybe someday a set will come your way. You wouldn't believe how many offers I get each week for a set of the 50s. Wish I still had a bunch that I was willing to get rid of.

Yes BigCyp, but triple the rainbow sprinkles.
