one must take in to account a proper population growth of working age citizins to get a correct analysis of all this

you need to know how many people turn 18 years old per day or per week or per month (whatever stat you choose)

we can call that (new available work force)

we must also take into account how many people die per day and subtract that amount from the work force

so if obama claims that weve created x amount of jobs we need to weigh that agains the AVAILABLE WORK FORCE AWF to see if the numbers are grim or great








the reason i made this thread is because its non sensicle on the news when they talk about x jobs being created. if 30,000 jobs were created but 70,000 people of legal age entered the workforce per week is that really good or bad?

yes and when comparing presidents we need to have it to proper scale to population in order to see how inferior or superior this presidency has been

because 40,000 jobs created in the 1930's would probably equate too 400,000 jobs today

but 40,000 jobs created this month would probably mean jack shit if 50,000 people turned 18 right?

You're forgetting about the people who leave the workforce due to becoming disabled, retire, move out of the country.....or die..
