There is only so much that nurture will do. You must have noticed your own child has developed a personality. Now, when you have a second child, you will find they have a totally different personality. So all that back-patting you are doing right now over your kids development - well, you can stop right now 'cause it ain't you at all.

Some people just grow up being cnuts and there is nothing you can do about it.

I agree. There is only so much you can do. You can try and raise them right, but in the end - you can only steer them right and hope they wind up ok.
Their peers and their environment has a lot to do with it as well. You can try and control these things... but its a fine line, because one sure fire way to make your child do the opposite is trying to (overly) control them.

They grow up that way, because the parents failed, as usual in America. I haven't looked at the show with the parents on, but the way these women and men act and talk, is a reflection of how they were raised...
