Check the link bro, its not the Dems demanding a recount - its the GOP trying to take the one victory the Democrats won away from them.

This is basically about the Dems' consolation prize. The state Senate is closed until January of next year. And, with an election in November (with mostly Dem seats on the line) and re-districting, the GOP will likely have the Senate back when it matters.
