Captain Marvel's cape looks like it was fashioned out curtains and the curtain tassels.
Thor's cape always looked like it was wearing Bump-Its on the shoulders. Come to think of it, his entire costume was gay'd up beyond belief and utterly stupid. Village People reject obviously.
Batman's cape sometimes was sprawling all over the floor around his feet. While it really made him look brooding and mysterious while standing still, it couldn't have been easy to fight or run in it without tripping.
Capes are not really something I paid attention to. However, one thing that all super hero fashion stylists need to get right is their footwear. Man, some of those boots are awful. Like the generic boot type that Hyperion is wearing in that article. Cap't America, Hawkeye, and at least dozens of others are wearing those kind with the fold down balloon necks. Thor's is atrocious as well, but then again as stated above so is the rest of his costume.
