Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
« on: June 18, 2012, 07:12:37 PM »
Seriously, I'm watching "The Killing" (great show) and there is a preview for Abe Lincoln vampire hunter. All I have to say is, Wow. Is that what entertainment has come to?  Vampires are the "hot" thing now, so they exploit this fad and ring every dollar they can out of it?  I could say something about international Jewry but won't.  ;D

I`m a huge horror fan but just the title of this makes me want to avoid it like the plague.

I bet it sucks bigtime and appeals mostly to the teen audience.

I dont know Westhuseluh, the idea of those faggoty fucking fucking vampires from the Twilight series meeting thier demise at the hands of our republic's savior has a certain appeal to this Getbigger.  If they throw in some topless women and a couple posedowns, I'll certainly be going to see it.

Something tells me it's going to be a good movie. Just because the premise is SO fucking farfetched, I'm thinking they had a really kick ass story for a studio to even green light something that is so fucked up sounding.

or it's the worst movie ever made...LOL

When I first heard the name of this movie I was in shock and thought it seemed so dumb....  But after seeing the trailer, it actually doesn't look that bad at all!

Just an FYI....vampires, zombies, werewolves, westerns, doomsday/apocalypse type of things (movies, tv, etc) are all recycled....the genre of each become hot...then cool down, then are brought back.  Its an ebb/flow type of thing.  Someone will come up with a little 'twist' on each thing...then many other jump on the cashcow bandwagon until it dies down.

Perfect example?  Think matrix effects....then all the movies using that....then it died down.   Then the whole 300-like thing...that is dying down.

The occult was quite a big deal in the 19th century.  There was actual panic about vampirism and it's implications for Christianity.  Lincoln and other legislators often gave speeches about laws and measures being taken to solve the problem since it kept the support of the voting public even though they were tired of the war.

Can't believe you guys never heard this about The Father of Our Country.  The guy was born poor in a log cabin which he built with his own hands and went on to save the whole country ffs.
