Free TV over the internet?
« on: June 23, 2012, 07:37:51 PM »
Tonight's UFC fight raises this question. And, this being GetBig, we know that there are a lot of informed individuals here.

Given only a high speed internet connection, how can one enjoy TV without paying another dime? I don't mean old shows, or cherry picked series, I mean TV like you would watch if you paid cable. Is this possible?

This is bodybuilding related because obviously, if one could acquire free TV, then one would tune to the old 90's bodybuilding shows (MuscleMania hosted by Shawn Ray and Troy Zucalatto).
The answer is "yes".

Live is tough if you want HD quality.  You can find pretty much any live major sporting event online but the video will generally be shit unless you're willing to pay money.

Hulu is pretty good and has some HD but I don't think it's live very often and doesn't have all the content that's on the major networks and cable.

I check out Hulu at times as well as Veetle TV........even with a fast connection, for me most are still slow.  :(

Nothing current for the most part anyway.

I watch tons of movies for the most part........TV blows these days.

Get a Jailbreak Apple TV Box. It connects to your internet and it allows you to watch anything that is shown on TV. Most of the stuff is great quality. DVD/HD quality movies and cable quality TV channels.
