Really, gear is no big deal. At the end of the day though, I'd feel like a clown if my gains came from needles and pills, so I choose not to do them. I see guys every day who are on and to me, they are a dime a dozen. They don't even look like they could walk on an amateur stage. I shake my head at most people on because deep down they lack what it takes to make great gains without drugs, otherwise, why would they be on to begin with. This is not everyone who is on, but a good amount from what I see. And the whole "competing" thing is great, but really just an excuse to abuse drugs in my eyes. Unless, you're going for an Olympia title, taking massive amounts of gear to win a local show is idiotic. Even on a pro level, it's a bit absurd, but so common it's "ok".
