Yes, they are a feast for the senses. The only thing better than a fine cigar is a nice bowl of pipe tobacco. Not that cheap drug store shit, I mean the good cuts you get at a tobacco shop.

One, sometimes two, a day probably averages $9 a cigar. Sounds like a lot when you add it up, especially since one of my friends always seem to forget his. If I'm really, really, really busy there might be a day in the week without a cigar but that doesn't happen too often.

I hear ya, I never smoked one a day, otherwise I would have been outta money. Usually two or three a week. BTW, do you subscribe to Cigar Aficionado? I used to and liked it, except for the umpteen ads about Ferraris and beach-front properts in Aruba that I could never afford

Gave up on CA when it became an immitation of the Rob Report, LOL!

Besides, there's only so much you can learn about cigars after smoking for a few years. There was a time when the magazine was relevant, not now. People still buy it but I'd guess only newer smokers would use it for buying suggestions. A long time ago, brands lived and died by CA ratings.

You know I never cared much about those ratings. I got sick of all the "This cigar has a hint of amaretto finished off with a touch of nutty succulence." I just went to the local tobacco shop and bought a variety (in size and price) and tried them. The tastes you get out of each cigar is very subjective too. I noticed if I had one before a meal it would taste different than after a meal, not necessarily better just different.

Never done Atlantic City. There's a crappy casino 1/2 hour from where I live. Must be up to something because the place is fully staffed but usually empty.

I've never been to Atlantic City either. A couple years ago we vacationed in Denver and went to a tiny mountain town called Blackhawk. Tiny town but every damn bar/restaurant has 20+ slot machines. I don't get into gambling much but I do love those $0.99 all you can eat prime rib buffets
