Or when MD used to put a half naked woman up in the corner fo the cover....so you could pick it up off the newstand and not have everyone assume you're a homo..."wow, that guy's openly reading a gay magazine...no wait, that's a half naked woman, he's straight...maybe bi"

 ;D ;D ;D

I always wondered why MD stopped putting those nearly naked women with big breast implants with electrical tape covering their nipples. Those magazines always flew off the shelves...You'd see the mag when they first pu them up, then the next week they are gone.

Think it happened when American curves came out, they want you to buy that mag too...

American Curves is still out---they have a plastic cover on it, "ohhh it mght be porn",
please...If you think that MD, Flex, Ironman, Musclemag all rehash the same shit, American Curves I'm sure rehashes the same "How to date a stripper" and "Don't call them 'tramp stamps' to her face if you want to get laid" articles.

Considering FLEX is now just MD (and MD is actually not that bad anymore, considering it's now the old FLEX), it doesn't really matter anymore.

FLEX has, and I'm kinda sorry to say this after reading for so many years, finally jumped the shark.  The articles are now ads themselves, incorporating products into their 'articles'.  Add in the whole lame layout that MD used for years and that horrible (yes, fucking horrible) article of Zach Khan (in a very sad attempt to mimic Gregg Valentino) and FLEX has officially lost the magazine wars.

It's not even worth owing for inspiration, as their current stable of "Weider Pros" are about the most boring guys around (other than Heath and Greene).

FLEX, where did it all go wrong?  In a way it's the same thing that happened when FLEX stopped the steroid articles in the mid 90s.

Yes, I think they were "scratch and sniff". Scratch the pages and you'd swear you'd smell the implants right out of the packing box.

I am having a very difficult time finding Flex Magazine or Muscular Development on the shelves in any of the stores here in my town (Tallahassee). The grocery stores, which used to have both of them, now only carry fitness magazines. Wal-Mart also no longer carries either of these publications. None of the major stores do.

Are they starting to remove them from the shelves in your cities too or is it just mine?

Just you! Got my new MD at Barnes and Noble and get my Flex from Publix
