He's dead, Jim!
« on: July 04, 2012, 03:12:59 PM »
Got a cryptic text message from a buddy of mine today “Call me ASAP.”  When I called him, he told me that a mutual friend who lives less than two miles from me croaked last night.  I last saw him about a month ago and he did not look well.  Todd was 50, but using a walker to help him get around (never seen him with a walker before) because something was wrong with his leg.  He was a chubby guy, but he had clearly lost weight.  When I asked him about it, he said he has lost 30lbs since the last time I saw him—about two or three months prior.

I had just come out of an office building and he was standing there waiting for a cab; my car was parked right there so I gave him a ride and we chatted.  When I dropped him off I hugged him and told him to take care of himself.  I had a feeling this was gonna happen, and I told my other half about my premonition later that night.  Then I felt a little guilty for even thinking it.  Turns out I was right. :'(

Life is short guys… make good choices… and live it!

Way out of line pal.  You must be of little intelligence.

sounds a lot like cancer, I have a co worker who is slowly dying of cancer too, just now he's in for more operations and more chemo fucking shit he's like paper weight.

I hope so much it doesn't happen to me, but rather too me than to my wife or kid.

You probably have a Liberace poster above your bed and a Richard Simmons blow up doll under the covers.
You have flashes of brilliance, yet you let loose with juvenile gems such as these.

Very sorry about your friend Bay.

I don't understand why people say, sorry about his friend? I'm not sorry about his friend I've seen seen him nor have I ever talked to the guy, I feel sorry for Bay because he's obviously effected by the death of a friend of his and even that is a stretch since as much as I like the Bay internet personality I cannot be sure he is what he is.

I wish people would be more honest.

And please lets stop with the R.I.P crap as well while we at it... guy commits suicide infront of a train and everybody goes ... RIP you're in a better place - fucking hell - he's not in a better place he just got leveled by 100 tons of steel.

Saw my neighbor being carried out of his house with a fireman thumping his chest the other day. Died a few days later.

Guy JUST retired after building a multi million dollar company from nothing by working like a dog. Hope his kids appreciate it.

That's in terrible taste.  Can't believe the fireman would do a King Kong while carrying a dying man.

Sad---but working like a dog and not taking care of your health (don't know if that was the issue)?
It ain't worth it in the end...multimillion dollar company or not.

I am sorry for your loss.  Keep in mind that while a friend, a true friend, can not be replaced he can be remembered.

Condolences to his family.
