I learned about it on the Newsgroups...we would go to Getbig for the latest news and gossip in bodybuilding because quite frankly it was the ONLY PLACE TO GO....heck its 1996 and there was not that many places other than Elite Fitness..never thought that it would turn into this years later.... ;D

I used to work with TA and he was on the site one day.  He was laughing about something so I went to check it out.  I registered that night and was approved within 11 months   :-X

I followed CQ and crew on Shawn Ray's old board.  Anyway, a couple of bitches on here were talking shit about the photos on CQ's site.

I got hooked on GetBig after reading the infamous Bethany Howlett thread and also the thread where Lee Priest got into an argument with a guy and melted down, saying he wanted the guy to meet him on the corner of some fast food restaurant in Los Angeles I think it was, so he could kick his ass....and then there was a long-running blow by blow posting with lee saying stuff like "I am now leaving and heading over to Los Angeles"....and then "I am now in Los Angeles heading toward the restaurant"..the Getbigger who was messing with Priest never showed up....it was Hilarious

I wish someone had a link to that thread..I would love to read it again

I frequented Elite for years. Don't go there much anymore but I still have active user account I registered in '01.

I joined here in 2004, but never posted until this year.. I would just read and laugh my ass off, even reading posts and disputes to friends and family who didnt share my sense of humour. ''ahh your on that fukin getbig again'' you guys have givin me years of laughter and now i will try and give a little back.

I first heard of Getbig in Nasser's brutal interviews with bb.com

Apparently Milos wrote some not so nice things about Nasser on Getbig and Nasser got butthurt and gave those epic interviews, hahaha

The first thread I can remember reading was the one about Branch's hunting exploits.  I remember laughing my ass off almost the entire way through, and I totally lost it when someone made a 'shop of kai in his gay red suit spinning around in the distance, as branch sited him in with his rifle, sitting safely on a distant plateau, LOL.  For a while I kept visiting t-nation, bodybuilding.com, promuscle etc. for "serious advice" ::) and stopping by Getbig for fun.  I had always found those places pretty obnoxious though, and reading Getbig soon made them downright unbearable -- it was like a breath of fresh air everytime I logged on here after wading through the fucking swamp of lies, asskissing, and rampant, straightfaced, unchecked idiocy of those other boards.

getbig.com was engraved in your mom's night stand.   

Rest is history.
