I used to visit the t-nation forums for bodybuilding advices (LOL) and, as Justin Harris was a big name around there at the time, along with the other EliteFts guys, I ended up reading an interview about him. The interviewer asked him what he thought of Getbig, and Justin replied, "it's probably the best place to go if you wanted a fair assessment of your physique" or something like that.
I paid little attention though, and it wasn't until I heard mention of the place again, I think in a Greg Valentino interview (sounds like I was quite the schmoe in training, but beyond this I think I've only really read one or two other bber interviews in my life... kind of weird that they all mentioned Getbig) that I decided to check it out.
The first thread I can remember reading was the one about Branch's hunting exploits. I remember laughing my ass off almost the entire way through, and I totally lost it when someone made a 'shop of kai in his gay red suit spinning around in the distance, as branch sited him in with his rifle, sitting safely on a distant plateau, LOL. For a while I kept visiting t-nation, bodybuilding.com, promuscle etc. for "serious advice"
and stopping by Getbig for fun. I had always found those places pretty obnoxious though, and reading Getbig soon made them downright unbearable -- it was like a breath of fresh air everytime I logged on here after wading through the fucking swamp of lies, asskissing, and rampant, straightfaced, unchecked idiocy of those other boards.
