Maybe your song is 'In Da Club'.

I remember that year from that song, for some reason.

I was stationed at Ft. Knox that year. Had a blast!

As I'm sure you can tell, I joined the army late.

Probably this song, it was the song of a war, and it kinda captures everything falling apart on our watch, the economy, the war, and generation nothingness.
