I think I'd put Haney and Ferrigno in there somewhere.
Tom Prince had an awesome side chest
mike arms were very overated...
How so?
big.... yes not great shaped like flex or coleman or priest or marko..... or pastel or baker, dexter or levrone and the list goes onhe always seems to make the best arm list ... but personally i think his arms are over rated.. even evan centopani has better arms
amazing shot.... i always liked prince..... dont know why everyone hated him so much....he is even killing matazaro in the arm department there... mike arms were very overated...
and the best picture in all of bodybuilding:
An early pic of Nubret.
Old school guys actually trained chest real hard. Then, they didn't overdevelop the delts to the point that they overshadowed the chest. Today's pros just go nuts on shooting up the delts in the hopes of looking best in a front relaxed pose so they'll get called out first. Same with shooting up the arms. And then there's the horrendous posing. Nobody hits a side chest anymore. Everyone does a "side-hands-clasped-most-muscular".Simply put: most guys don't have the balls to site-inject their chests today as much as they pin their arms and delts. So, the delts and arms outsize the chest, making the chest look smaller in comparison. Unlike the days of old, when guys didn't have to pin as much shit all over the place, so there wasn't as much need to spread the huge amount of pinning out all over the arms, and delts, and traps, and calves, and outer quads, etc... There certainly wasn't synthol. And though guys pinned, they took a lot more orals because there was great supply of good quality orals everywhere - you didn't have to worry much about fakes. And when you did pin stuff, it was properly dosed, it was high quality, and it wasn't some home brew shit with 50mg/ml. It had 200mg/ml and the dosage on the bottle was what was in the bottle, and you didn't need 10ml of stuff per day to get big. You could get away with a cc every day, even if you were Grymkowski or Arnold. Less pinning means less times to hit the arms and delts, meaning they don't get stupid-sized, meaning the chest continues to look symmetrically big. Then of course, the massive leg growth we see today on the stage does make chests look smaller. If guys had properly proportioned legs, like they did back in the day (yes, I think today's pros have legs that are too stupid big), then chests today would look massive too. It's all relative, and about proportion.Of course, this thread is a classic case of reinforcing beliefs. Start a thread about "best chest" - post old school pics - believe that old school guys all had the best chest. Though I won't argue old guys had good pecs, so do today's pros. Just that today's pros screw it up with over-site-injections, too much leg size, and not posing correctly.

First pic in this thread was what immediately came to my mind, thread was destroyed on post 1. Nothing comes close to that Levrone pic.
