I remember bodybuilding used to be called an older man's sport, I don't know who coined the phrase.  People used to talk about muscle maturity that the younger guys didn't have.  When did things change?

First you'd have to tell us what does "muscle maturity" actually mean or what it refers to...

well he did a show in australia and yeah was lower level show but he was bigger than ever and conditioned as close to his prime.i'm not suggesting he was a mr o caliber guy again and vince taylor still hit great conditioning in 50's so yeah he has been using long time so it's not like levrone who is not hitting it hard as he used too,,,

Haha these bodybuilder clowns are all the fucking same.....always trying to sling some bullshit supplement, t-shirt, protein gimmick.  Levrone is a punk bitch.  He'll go nowhere in his comeback.  He should stick to being broke and selling gay ass dumb looking "VNM" t-shirts.  What a clown!

i dont know, i think there is something to it, with long time, the muscles start to look better at the same level of bodyfat.but id just call it overal development.
X2...I think it's overall development as well. And every serious competitor I've talked to says they get shredded more and more each show, like their body becomes more efficient at it

With Kai doing Only the Olympia , and wolf Being wolf, I'm sure Kevin could take warren stump on any day at the arnold classic even at 50yrs old

How old was Lou when he tried his comeback??

Lou was 39 or 40 I think. That's a lot different from 47.
Vince Taylor had a decent come back.

He did beat Ronnie Gutman in competition, however, unlike Kevin (2005 Challenge Round). lol
Actually nothing could be further from the truth, the judges where not official judges sanctioned by IFBB nor were they recognized or qualified based on judges's protocol and procedures for the challenge round, it was the former Mr. Olympia's who scored the challenge round based on opinion and no credit was recognized as an official IFBB sanctioned event for the challenge round so that certainly doesn't count, furthermore Levrone won 2 out of 4 rounds against Ronnie at the 2002 Olympia from an Ifbb official judging stand and officially sanctioned and qualified judges. Hardly the scenario you described above, Oh BTW Levrone was the last man to beat Coleman before his Olympia Reign back in 98.

That's right.  Competitive bodybuilding is altogether different than taking a good pic in the kitchen or looking good in a tank top.  Kevin would always be compared to his former self, so it's an automatic letdown, even if he looks great for 47.

I really hope he is not serious- And just doing this for "selling a product". Kevin you had a great career, you went out in class IMO. Stay retired like Yates, Ray, Nasser, and Haney, and educate the up-and- coming bodybuilders. You will just tarnish your career doing a "comeback" to stay/be relevant.

He'll always be compared to his former best shape, which at 47 years old is not attainable.

Do yourself a favor Kev, stay retired dude.
