I seem to recall you mentioning investors in the past. So basically you made it through life so far with no help from anyone right?

yes....especially the government as Obama is suggesting.

I see Obama as the douche who is pushing the OnE World Government-anti American agenda more than anyone. The problem is, he is just the puppet who we all get to point at. We need to dig deeper into who is actually controlling this thing. Obama is the easy scapegoat. In fact, "they" put the negro there so we would all blame the colored man.  But holy fck, what did Bush do just before Obama was elected. What a fukcing mess that was. Come ON!!!

Why are you going back to obama and the govt over and over? You seem to be obssesed with this train of thought. The question was did you make it through life this far with no help from anyone.  If you answered yes..then...well ..you really live in a delusional world.

Agree'd mostly, but Its a little hard to swallow when a goverment that has far outspent its means over the last 11 years tell you that you need to do a little bit more when they clearly have failed to spend  wisely.  Im not a lib or repub, I can see that the policies of libs errode our society by keeping people dependant just as much as the repubs determination to keep rich people wealthy does.  Obamma is no fucking rain maker he is in over his head and makes poor choices and his people always love to jump to race baiting everytime someone challenges his ideas.
He is 100% right. People don't get their on their own. People that are usually successful go to schools where teachers teach them and care for them and support them. They grow up in communities that may foster development by providing a safe haven to thrive in. Children born to good parents are awarded opportunities to thrive. There is a direct relationship between good parents and positive future outcomes for children. People are directly and indirectly effected by many factors that make them who they are today. Of course the individual is responsible for taking advantage of these opportunities. However, you cannot dismiss the role of community and environmental factors.

Do some research on other things besides weightlifting and you may learn a thing or two.

One doesnt need to look too deep to realize that people become who they are today due to a variety of factors, ranging from biological factors to individual responsibility to the community.

You're right about that, but I don't believe that is where Obama was going with this.

I see you're a spin doctor much like your hero Obama. He's referring to government. If you mean did I have help from my family when i was a child...then I guess, yes I had help. But NEVER NEVER even when I was at my lowest as a single parent EVER depend on government assistance, like Obama is insinuating. Most libs don't get that part.

Exactly, but I still had no investors. There was a time that I was thinking of it but then it wouldn't be mine.

Hate to disappoint ya buddy but i ve never favored either party. I sure as hell care less about your liberal conservative battles. Both are equal idiots who only see one side. Did obama mention that people cant make it unless the govt helps them? I didnt hear or read this speech. Is that what he said or are you interpreting what he said to suit your views of him? Who's the spin doctor now?

Well, then you need to be more clear on YOUR statement and how YOU interpret Obamas message, instead of just randomly quoting him and calling him names like a 7 year old.  :-\ :-\

I have a feeling Coach is interpreting it to suit his own needs. Did Obama ever outright say that people cant make it without the govt?

I never heard or read this speech but i think coach is creating his own version of what obama is indirectly saying. ::)

Of course if one of his own camp said it coach would be crowing about how brilliant it is.

Edit: he said as obama is insinuating so clearly so coach is creating bullshit as he goes along.
Hint: Its not what obama says ...its what he insinuates...lol.

Coach.. putting the con in conservative.

You conservative /liberal clowns are hilarious

Mitt Romney himself was helped by his ultra wealthy father to avoid the Vietnam War.

Romney supported the Vietnam War, just as long as he didn't have to fight...

Who the fukc wants "Night of the Living Dead" at every intersection trying to wash our windows for some lose change and car alarms going off every 5 seconds on every city block like is happening in most major cities? The answer isn't more fukcing prisons for crying out loud. Where the fukc did some of you people grow up? Jesus Christ!!! 1970s Russia sounds like a better place to live than where some of you people want the future of America to be.

the ideals that obama subscribe to are highlighted in malcom gladwells outliers.

anybody that has read that book can see the point obama is making, the problem is he is also missing a broader point.

the thing is that the successful ppl also have to work 10 times harder than the other 9 ppl do that didnt become succesful.

he and others discount the hardwork these succesful ppl put into their success.

the govt doesnt and SHOULDNT strive to generate equal results, which is what the utopian would like to move towards.

Equal opportunity and the ability to make your own choices is what should be strived for.

Unfortunately this is to "cruel" a concept for some and they just cant seem to come to terms with the idea that in life there are losers and winners even if the difference between them is just luck.

None of which is relevant to the crux of what Obama is getting at.  Since there really is no way for him or his statist cronies to keep a metaphycical scoreboard...a way to determine who really owes what to those around him or her...they are simply going to take your wealth by force of government and reassign it randomly via an ever growing bureaucracy.  Given it's pretty much exactly what he told the infamous  "Joe the Plumber" during the campaign of 2008, it's one of the few...if not the only...belief he's unwilling to sell out on.
