I avoid such awkwardness by saying I would like a Large ____________ (fill in the blank with appropriate name).

For Example,
I would like a large Roasted Chicken sub.

This should allow you to avoid such awkwardness in the future; but let's be honest, a black male giving you a 12 incher isn't something you are unfamiliar with.

In Cali we have mexicans instead of blacks that work at subway, so you can look them dead in the eye and ask for 12 inches and they know 100% you are asking for a sub.  Now if you asked for 4 inches you might get something else.

Fucking hate subway workers, they're either too slow, fuck up the sub, or worst yet put too little of everything on it. And just to be difficult when asked to put more on they always put too little.

And mine are Turkish or Armenian half of the time. Often they're native swedish girls and then I really don't mind if they scratch their ass lol
