Can somebody or someone explain what the hell is going on with their reality TV shows here? First they appeared on TLC, and now they're on National Geographic. I know they're of Romanian descent, but are they a bit fabricated or are they really in this lifestyle of "mobsters" and "the mafia", family this and that, business owners, boss this and that, they're from the East Coast, etc.

we have a HUGE bosnian population here in my town.. scum of scum, and equivalent to gypsies. Little thugs and trash. There was literally only 1 girl I knew who was normal.

Strange...there's a decent sized community of them here as well. I know a lot of em cuz they used to show up and scrimmage with my undergrads soccer team and play with us. Most were some of the nicest people I've ever met. Typical hard working immigrants, family oriented people. I had huge respect for them, they were good people. Guess there's bad groups of people of the same race/culture everywhere

i ve visited all europe: france ,england, norway, spain, italy= they re full of gipsies.. strange but in romania, bulgaria were nt any .. nice places there

Right on...they try to present them as if it were candid,hidden camera like action,as though the subjects(actors) didn't know the cam was there.....all scripted, and fake, and overly dramatized controversies for the most part....junk food for the brainless zombies out there.

I watched the first episode. Like most of these types of shows, it was pure entertainment. For about five minutes.

They are NOT Romanian, they are of INDIAN descent. Look it up on Wikipedia. When Genghis Khan came to Europe via Asia he used to mass conscript any groups wanting to come with him- these people are from North India. They have Indian habits, and dress very similarly.

I know there are a bunch of them in Georgia. They come up every year with dump trucks, a small paver and a plate compactor and rip people off on paving their driveways. We call them gypsy pavers. I believe they all live in the same area down there and live well, off of what they scammed from people.

Haha funny how its the same all over the world. Here in Scotland the Gypos are well known for doing people's driveways with Tarmac . One week later they are all cracked to fuck. But enough people are fooled into using them and paying their inflated prices for it to be a good business for the durty gypos.

Around here they come by trying to sell junky chinese tools, I had my blue heeler go after one of the fuckers when he pulled up in my driveway.

My uncle had a couple of them paint the roof of his barn, a couple weeks later all the paint washed off.

For the most part, the American gypsies who do the crap driveways, roof repair, etc are Irish Travelers (Irish-American decent). Running all the way from northern New York down the East coast (usually). The women are big on shoplifting and some money/lotto con games. Travelers are very fond of the "Spanish Prisoner" con game. Will winter in Florida or Georgia mostly. They travel in caravans together; motor homes, campers, etc. Work a lot of swap meets and junk yards.

Strong family clans within the Travelers. Inter marriage, between clans, with kid as young as 12. Monarchy style of structure among the Travelers. Not too much in SoCal, though the winter/rainy season brings some out. Mexican style gypsies increasing lately.Prone to more strong arm stuff.

Got most of this information from a friend who works with the Riverside county DA's office. He's Irish-American and tends to get a little pissed about the Irish Travelers.

we were in town yesterday. and outside the kfc was a load of gypo kids on their hosses and carts. they picked up a massive order and off they trotted, lol.

i've got a shitty pic on my daughters mobile but cant get the bastard on the comp without its usb cable

Many of them are wanted up and down the east coast. They approach people and tell them that they can do their driveways, without sealing the pavement. It's what the government uses, they say. Have warrants out for them. They tend to be extravagant with their children. They are not gypsies per se. Just a group of people who rip people off.

Yes, they usually approach older people. Tell them that they can do their driveway without sealant, "that the government uses". They haggle over a price, do half the job after being paid, and leave the job not finished. They have multiple business names, but they have no business license, nor home improvement licenses. They then go onto the next victim.
They spend tons on their kids, their kids usually have anything and everything they want (possibly to keep them busy from knowing where the money comes from and what they do).
