I'm casually dating an escort now. I would have taken a bullet for her gladly.

i'm watching 48 Hours on CBS.   fucking sickening.  I hope everyone in america carries a gun to the theater from now on.  Someone tries this again, and 25 MFers are returning fire thru him.

Even if their states don't allow it?

Colorado has friendly gun carry laws.   I could never live in a state that didn't let me carry a gun everywhere I go.

I was in tears watching 48 hours just now... fuck.  I dont cry at much of anything.. but seeing all those lives cut short by that a*sshole... fuck that sucks.

Hearing their stories - everyone just laid down in the aisles and hoped they wouldn't be hit.

I don't buy a candy bar without a glock.  I sure as fck don't go to midnight movies without at least one piece.

Colorado has friendly gun carry laws.

In Colorado, can you legally carry a gun into a movie theater?

Yes.    http://www.usacarry.com/colorado_concealed_carry_permit_information.html

The only places you cannot carry:

 1. Any place prohibited by federal law (e.g. federal offices or courthouse)
 2. Any property of public school grades kindergarten through 12, unless the firearm remains inside a container in a locked vehicle
 3. Any public building that prohibits ALL weapons which posts guards and permanent metal detectors at all entrances and requires all entrants to surrender handguns to security personnel before entry

So why do you suppose no one was packing?

all people need to carry a gun. it's the only way to go since you can't take all the guns away.

I do not konw.  My guess is that if someone was packing, they sure didn't talk about it, for fear of hearing "why didn't you do anything?"

Or maybe it was just younger ppl that didn't think to have a gun.  I know 2 vets (1 active, one retired?) were hit, and one died.   I have to think if it wasn't Batman at midnight... but "Saving Private Ryan" at 4 pm, you would have a threater packed with older ppl, and plenty more fanny packs with Colt 45 in tow.

Very sad.  Tough to second guess the situation.

She wasn't part of the first shooting.  She was merely at the same location as the first shooting at the Toronto mall, but left the mall 30 minutes before the shooting began.
