Actual comment -
“With so many Africans in Greece, the West Nile mosquitoes will be getting home food!!!”

Dont think its worth kicking her out over.

The fact she's from Greece alone is enough to kick her out of Olympics.

Our we that liberally correct that a joke like that is enough to ruin her career? I bet all of the hypocrites that claim offense laugh like hell at comedians that do racist humor.

And even if she was totally racist, that's her right.  Her personal feelings should have nothing to do with track and field competition.

Kinda harsh man, she's not responsible for the mess.  She's allowed to have an opinion.

Yes, be humble & thankful, and stop complaining about the government. Rely more on your local community, just like more and more Americans do nowadays.

All people from Greece are responsible in a certain sense, it's not just the banks or the government.
Yes, there is freedom of speech, but what she says is plain stupid.

It may have been stupid but it shouldn't ruin her career, after all she is just a track athlete, you know she runs around a circle, she is not a politician or a doctor or a physicist, she does this one thing that she trained for years.  She might not even be able to add fractions.
Like I said, she is just saying what a lot of us are thinking.  Sometimes I go to get groceries and I am the only white person in the place.  Everyone is wearing these weird clothes and jabbering away in a strange language and I'm the one who is getting the strange looks,  I am a stranger in my own land.

I agree that sport should have nothing to with politics/opinions.
Many people have problems with folks from other cultures/religions in their society, but I don't. Is my culture 'better' or more interesting than 'theirs'? I don't think so.
Why would you care about those differences? Maybe they think the same about your language/clothes and LOL behind your ass ;)

She has the right to her opinion, end of story.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/olympics-fourth-place-medal/banned-greek-triple-jumper-bitter-upset-racist-tweet-162255969--oly.html

The Greek triple jumper expelled from the Olympics for sending a racist tweet about African immigrants and the West Nile virus is speaking out against the decision to ban her from competition in London.

Her Tweet.....

"with so many Africans in Greece at least the West Nile mosquitos will eat homemade food."

She has to post on GetBig!

"I have not slept at all and to be honest I am still trying to come to terms with what has happened. I am trying to stay calm otherwise I would lose control.

"I am thankful to my coach and family and so many other people who have stuck by me.... After so many years of hurt and sacrifices to try and get to my first Olympics I am very bitter and upset. But what has upset me the most is the excessive reaction and speed of the disciplinary decision."

Nothing to do with better or interesting, people want to be around their own kind.  Why do you think certain ethnic groups all live in certain parts of cities.  In almost every big city there is a Chinatown, a little Italy or Portuguese section.  Now more and more we have areas that are all Hindu or Sikh or Sri Lankan. It's not uncommon to see women in full burkhas where I live. These people all escaped their shithole countries to build a better life and guess what?  They cling to the traditions that made their countries such a mess in the first place such as honor killings.  And if you think for a moment that a caucasian is welcome in their neighbourhood, you are woefully misinformed.
