I, like most Americans, believe that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual the right to bear arms," President Obama said at the National Urban League convention in New Orleans. "I think we recognize the traditions of gun ownership that passed on from generation to generation. That hunting and shooting are a cherished national heritage."

"But I also believe that a lot of gun owners would agree that AK-47s belong in the hands of soldiers, not in the hands of criminals. That they belong on the battlefield of war, not on the streets of our cities," Obama said Wednesday night.

I have a civi AK that is semi auto, as well as an AR , and others.

If SHTF, I'm grabbing the glock 26, mossberg 500, and the bushmaster AR.

I consider myself as a defense to my neighbors if TSHTF and they don't have. Arms.

the thing I don't get is that a well trained hunter w a 3o 30 or a scoped 308 could cause so much worse damage if they wanted than this freak.

I have tons of buddies in spec ops and the leader of my self defense school is a Marine Spec Ops LT. col. Who runs sniper platoons in Iraq amd Afghanistan and they laugh at. Obama.

But then, the more real the game is, the happier I am. No one else I know likes realistic shooters - they all get pissed they cant pwn n00bs or go on a 59 kill streak =/

Sure was... I'm in the credits if you play them... Go down to Studio IT and I'm right there... I handle game build pipeline for the Victory Games Studio and the Danger Close Games studio.

He's 100% correct...there is no reason I can see for a person to own an AK-47. Its an assault weapon that was built specifically for military applications.

Personally, I think every family should have a handgun and a general hunting rifle in their homes for self defense and hunting. But not something like an Ak-47...its a soldiers weapon.

You mean like a person would keep in the home as part of a militia if TSHTF?

Or how the colonists kept muskets in their homes, which were exactly what the British army had at the time?
