You can be fat. Or you can be happy. But you can't be fat and happy. It's a truism of life.
Fatism is a textbook exercise in cognitive dissonance. Subject wrestles with the desire to be happy, and an overwhelming feeling of unahappiness because of fat-ocity. Solution? Change perception and models of thinking to outwardly project an attitude of acceptance of obesity, and surround oneself with folks who feed off the behavior through fetishism or sadism.
Sick and twisted. But then, fatism is just a measuring point on the scale that all folks with body image disorders suffer from. Like bodybuilders, for example.

I d add than any extreme cant be good. Being too fat, too skinny, too muscular, too smart, too dumb, too good looking, too ugly...key to hapiness, survival, adaptation, is balance.
