About 11 years ago I had my back and shoulders done.  HURT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The laser hair removal was the most PAINFUL experience I have ever gone through in my life.  I was told it would feel like a stinging from a rubber band.  Well, after my experience,  that was one big-ass rubber band.

I had multiple treatments.  By the second, I took three handkerchiefs to bite on during the procedure.  By the end of the procedure, those handkerchiefs was completely soaked and dripping with saliva.

Some areas hurt more than others.  For example, nearer my sides and up near the armpit was just excruciating.  Conversely, the traps area didn't hurt as much.

In the areas where it didn't hurt so much, most of that hair has grown back.  In the areas where it hurt the most, it mostly has not grown back.

I think maybe they have better machines now.  I wish you luck

Wait a minute. So, because of light hair, I need more time per visit, or more visits?

The laser they had when I did it worked much better on dark hair w/light skin.  And if you get it done, have your girl put numbing cream on you and then put plastic wrap on it for at least and hour before.  I had mine done out of town so I'd put that stuff on and then the plastic wrap and drive about an hour to my appt.  Glad I never got pulled over for speeding.

It's not THAT bad.  It only lasts while it's getting done, and then it doesn't hurt anymore.  It's less pain every time you go because there is less hair to kill.

the caveat is your skin pigmentation.  Too dark and it absorbs the laser, too light and it can darken the skin.

It's not THAT bad.  It only lasts while it's getting done, and then it doesn't hurt anymore.  It's less pain every time you go because there is less hair to kill.

Similar...except the tattoo keeps hurting and scabs and stuff.  This pain goes away quickly.

And I find it hurts more. However I would attribute this to them increasing the intensity of the pulse each time.
