PJ Braun Medical Condition
« on: July 29, 2012, 04:42:09 AM »
To PJ Braun and his "handlers" over at RxHustle...

While he is probably being congratulated and patted on the back for his heart and courage for competing in this past weekends contest.

A word of caution.

In my experience I have NEVER seen a ruptured hepatic hemangioma in a male patient in many years as a hepatobiliary specialist. Futher, I have only even heard of this occuring in a giant (>5cm) hemangioma in a pregnant patient.

Rather, I have commonly seen hepatic adenomas (a type of liver TUMOR which is benign but can have malignant degeneration) bleed internally and rupture.

Also, hepatic adenomas are COMMONLY seen in steroid abusers as the excess androgens are thought to cause these congenital malformations to grow. They are common in women on birth control medication but frankly they only occur in men on anabolics or in rare conditions (Von Gierke's disease).

In short,

To PJ or Erin Singerman or other henchmen at RxHustle that are known to troll this site in secret.

I can only forsee two possibilities here either you were told you had a ruptured adenoma and are covering it up since it is caused by steroids OR you were misdiagnosed which are equally likely.

Make sure you get a follow up MRI (if you do not have any pathologic proof - biopsy or surgery) because these tumors can grow and degenerate into malignant hepatocellular carcinomas.

Good luck.

All for 12th place? Steroids make some people delusional. I knew within the first couple yrs of lifting that my genetics were pretty good but not THAT good.

Right? Really it's not even a matter of size. With about 3grams of AAS and 10-15ius consistently, I would be plenty big. But my structure is shit so why bother? Muscle shape and bone structure=Pro BB.

I'd go a step further and say that he actually looks quite delighted in spending time on his dialysis machine.  The look on his face is practically bordering on euphoric.

Maybe Derek Anthony is on to something,

guys like pee jay are proof that just taking massive amounts of drugs is not enough
you need the genetics to 1- convert those drugs into muscle, 2- stay alive while taking them

this guy has neither, which has been clear for a while but neither he or his boyfriend erin sing cant see that

This dude should have stayed home or watched the contest from the cheap sets.

Nothing against the guy,but he`d never make pro anyway, and being ill with a liver disease and still competing isn`t being hardcore, it`s being hardheaded.

Yes, I have been known to come out of the wood work once and a while

Especially when I hear complete and utter nonesense regarding medical advice and problems, mostly from that used car salesman scumbo palumbo.

I don't know PJ Braun at all but I would warn him to take this diagnosis seriously and to get a second opinion if his diagnosis was in fact a "ruptured hemangioma".

I am so confident that it must have been an adenoma that I would stop just short of betting my medical license on it.

The math is simple. Keep using AAS and the adenoma will grow and rupture again or possibly degenerate into a Hepatoma.

Either way he will end up worse than Derek Anthony or at least where DA will be in a few years...posing with Andreas Munzer, Don Youngblood and Luke Wood

Like all bodybuilders, PJ is a drug addict that likes to lift weights. He won't quit until his body breaks down.

not really. The dude is what 30? Anyone can turn pro in 5 years of hardcore drug usage if it is meant to happen...dude has been abusing drugs for a good decade most likely. It dont take decade to turn pro if you have the genetics which he does. Wide shoulders...great arms wide back thick chest.  damn good physique

Wait, just one stinkin' second! Are you implying that AAS use is what caused his health problems? According to Flex magazine, health problems with bodybuilders is always genetic!  :-\ :-\

I'm a big PJ fan...but his legs and back are very lackluster. Being said, he's done great with what he was given. He was simply "outclassed" at the USA's.

He tends to be "outclassed" a lot. He has sausage arms--aka arms that lack detail and tie-ins and look like a sausage. He just has mediocre shape, detail, and tie-ins. He should stick to muscle hustling.

the only downside to what happened is that pee jay is now going to hang his trunks, so all the future pics of this failure will be naked g4p crap, probably shot by erin singerman
