he seems to be pulling a bit of a long face on the second one too, however that still doesn't account for the difference, the one on the left is an old picture and he must have had a nose-job in between, can't see any other reasonable explanation

Smiling will obviously alter the shape of your nose, but it looks like 2 drastically different noses. Its not like you can still tell its his nose when he smiles.

Plus, one ear stick out more than the other.

What is the probability that a man linked to the banking industry and set to testify about the Libor rate-setting scandal would have a mentally deranged son who committed a massacre and have a LinkedIn profile and have exactly 111 connections on that profile? I'll tell you: very, very low.

But why would "they" do that to Holmes?

I understand Sirhan being programmed to kill RFK. RFK was a liberal to the bone, he was legitimitely dangerous to a lot of interests, not to mention he would re-open investigation to his brother's death.

But Holmes killed everyday people, why brainwash him to do that?

If one were to believe this theory, I think the reason 'they' would have done this would be to push forward with gun control measures in the US.
