punt/kick returners
« on: July 31, 2012, 09:15:16 AM »
The NFL Network has Devin Hester as number one....which is fine....I have no problem with that at all...He is fantastic.....but they left out Vai Sikahema. I am surprised he is not in the top 10.

He is my favorite return man of all time......why was he not on the list???

Do you fellas have any input here?

Sayers was 7th. Gale should have been top 3 at least.

Abe was not on the list.

Sikahema wasn't good??? Do you mean that??

I'd add Meggett and Deon.  Loved Berman's line:  "look at that little Meggett run."   :)

Dante Hall was deadly for a couple years.  Or least I think that was his name?  With KC.

Deion was in the top 5. Dave Meggett made honorable mention.

a lot of guys who would be top returners don't for example on eagles brian westbrook and desean jackson , both guys are were top returners but are too valuable to risk as full time returners.see footballreference.com for full records etc.

Prime Time would probably be no. 1 on my list.

Why? any kick returner worth a damn should have a few td's to his credit.  The best have both punt and kickoff td's.

Rod Woodson was outstanding in his prime as a punt returner/kick returner. One of my favorite players off all time. 16 career touchdowns in 16 NFL seasons as a cornerback/safety/punt and kick returner. Even while playing in his late 30's with the Raiders, he was still a BEAST. One of the greatest athletes who ever wore football cleats.

I had the honor of shaking his hand at a strip club in downtown Baltimore years ago. Really nice guy.

And let's not forget that he won a superbowl with the RAVENS and not the fucking steelers.  ;D
