This is right up there with Lee Priest's 545x6 bench press and 315 barbell curl. If you're gonna lie about your lifts, at least try to use plausible numbers.

Actually, there's nobody that has benched 750+ lb, unless you want to to factor in bench press shirts, which have been discussed (and criticized) at length on this board. As a matter of fact, you can fit the list of those who have hit 700+ void of a bench shirt or elbow wraps at a regulated meet on two lines:

Scot Mendelson: 715
James Henderson: 711

Both are 6'+ and 300lb+.

What's disputed here is a person claiming a 675 raw bench, which puts him 15 lb better than one of the strongest men ever, Bill Kazmaier.

If he can lift it he should compete.  He would instantly be one of the top RAW benchers in the world.

When you claim a number like that there is nothing else to do but compete and legitimize the claim.

Was watching a preview to England v New Zealand Rugby Union International and it was claimed by one of the pundits (Dewi Morris i think), that Carl Hayman, New Zealand prop, can bench around a third of a ton - which works out around 735lbs. Dont know if its true or not and dont shoot the messenger - just telling what i heard. He weighs around 270 i think
