2012 Olympics - What does it mean to be superior?

Just watching you tube vids and about olympic athletes and it got me thinking. What does it mean to be superior, for many of these people the olympics is just part of their lives, many are doctors, scientists, and are sucessful in many areas of life. Cleary these people are very elite genetic.

So what does it mean to you, not just physically but all componets of living a better life.

Thats actually pretty interesting way to look at shit. In modern society were told by the media, finance, and cultural norms, that is it bad to spoil or give gifts to those around you. But before the modern states it was the norm for the wealthy to be generous, as it shows dominance, and security. Also there is a neurological componet, were people feel good by giving gifts to those around you families etc. As it is the natural role of a parent or elder in any society.

Giving is a selfless act and sadly in todays society people are giving less and less.  And I don't mean materialistic either...I mean giving by truely helping where needed.

Interesting theory.
I hate accepting gifts or help in any shape from people, but I have absolutely no problem giving the shirt off my back to someone that REALLY needs help. (Ok Im exaggerating slightly, but If I feel someone REALLY needs something I do whatever I can to help). Please note - that is people within my own community of friends/family.

In my view as a male... following own interests, tastes, opinions, style without regarding other people's thoughts. Have confidence in beliefs and values. To be socially commanding, to be highly adaptable to different social settings and to have a good grasp of language. To look relatively good in a masculine way (physique wise, facial structure, hair, skin tone etc.).
