I had lunch with him in Venice....back in 2002....12 weeks out from the Olympia.....I am 5'8....he was taller than me....5'10 and 275 is what he weighed at that time.....he competed at 235-240....as I said earlier.....you can't tell a getbigger much....they are know it alls.....anyhow.....Melv in is probably not anywhere near his former size....but yes he was 275 at one point in his career. Now he is probably 220 or so....but you seem to think not. Anyhow.....maybe if you give him some advice....he might be able to regain his former physique.....being as how you know so Goddamn much!
Look, I have nothing bad to say about melvin. He was a super nice guy, and I even had brief convos with him on several occasions. But I'm just saying I saw the guy practically daily in a so cal gym around 2004/2005 or so ( can't remember the exact dates), and there is just no way he is even close to 5'10 and 275 seems way too high for the guy I routinely saw.

Exactly. But if he didn't do drugs, he wouldn't be that size. Those 2 inch reps is not what makes his arms big. Its his genetic response to drugs. Imagine if it all took was 2 inch reps to get 20 inch arms. Every gym rat would be HUGE, even the ones that eat right. But they arent.
Shawn's true height in his prime was 5'5.5 - 5'6. He was never 5'7.
