I was at that show when I was 14. One of the contests that night was the teenage Mr. USA ..or something like that. The guy winning is Rudy Hermosillo. Stallone was aked to present the trophy that night. For some strange reason, this short guy was also one of Stallone's bodyguards. Maybe he was a martial arts expert ? This was 1978.

I've also read that the contest was fixed (Kuehn mentioned this on some other BB board), in order to give more attention to Gold's stable of champions (they got Sly to present the award to attract media attention). Not sure if all this is true, but I also read that when Stallone found out about the affair, he ruined Hermosillo's BB career. Again, I'm not sure if this is all true, but I do remember reading these details (and about Hermosillo in old BB mags).
