Yeah and when the Dems nominated Kerry in 2004 he had a similarly thin record of bills being sponsored and becoming laws. There are 435 representatives. Each party has a governing structure they operate under. Junior members are seldom allowed to dictate the legistaive agenda. As Ryan was building seniority within the Republican caucus, the democrats seized control of the House. As a conservative, I don't think Ryan was going to hold much sway with Demon Bitch Pelosi in charge. As chairman of the budget committee Ryan has been aggressive re budget proposals...unfortuantel y, the Senate majority leader, Democrat Harry Reid of Nevada hasn't bothered to pass a budget for over 1200 days, so Ryan's hard work has been for naught
