Just saw it.  I'm one of the biggest Stallone fans around, but I'm sorry, aside from a few select scenes, it was very bland.  Could have been far better.  Chuck was good in his few scenes and the final fight between Stallone and Van Damme was decent too.

I watched it this evening. It's John Rambo levels of gore and violence, plenty of heads go missing.

It's like the first on in that it's exactly what you want it to be. JCVD makes a good bad guy, if they still made Bond films like they used to (i.e. entertaining and enjoyable rather than the daniel craig shite), he'd be a good Bond villain.
Arnie really does show his age alot though, less screentime for him wouldn't have been a bad thing. But if you're a Schwarzenegger guy i don't think you'll mind.

Casino Royale ("Daniel Craig shite") is the best Bond ever.

Who the fuck would go to this movie and expect academy award wining performances, plus a great screenplay?

Pretty sure Statham has stated "I will never win an oscar" and I am pretty sure he is perfectly fine with that. Neither did Arnold and people would be fools to say his acting career was a flop. Making awesome FUN movies won't win you an oscar but it sure as hell will win you fans.

for 90 minutes I got to be 13 years old again!  worth every penny.   ;D

Next film needs these two 80's action stars.

This x10!
I go to movies mostly to see be entertained. Action, adventure, explosions, its entertainment. I do enjoy the convoluted story from time to time, but Im not going to shit on a film because it's some basic linear storyline where you don't get to know the characters intimately

agreed.    I loved Battleship!

Fucking loved it!

Yeah, they are getting up there, and arnold definitely needs to keep working out to try to get that body back, but goddam were the self deprecating one liners hilarious... Everyone had a good time picking on their 80s characters... Absolutely loved it!

ACH, if they blow stuff up without turning around to see the damage, I don't want to go and see it.

That walk-a-way scene has been shot too damn many times and I just wish for once that they would get blown off their ass while they casually walk away while the destruction occurs in the background.

Not real proud of it but I speak from  experience and no one who ever blew up anything is able to casually walk away without watching the damage that they have caused.

I agree... This just had more of the formula and it worked even better.

Got to see it.  saw Bourne Legacy tonight and liked it.   I like Renner way better than Damon in the role.
