18 years old is fine.  I went straight HS into the USMMA And did the Navy thing.   although it did not work out like i wanted , Navy Boot Camp and a year of military training and regimentation was great.

Ah...no they aren't and have zero clue.  Hugo was a Marine...Hugo how old where u...I enlisted at 17 but was 18 by the time I shipped.

I went to college before I went in so I would have been 22.  

I'm for keeping the age requirements the same but I think you should be able to drink at the same age.  It just doesn't make sense to say a person is old enough to make this kind of choice if we don't trust them on a whole host of other things.

If you are man enough to join and maybe fight then you should be treated like a man and be able to Drink and all the other things. you know as a kid growing up in scotland i remember we still had some Bars and Discos where you had to be 21 and at this time they changed the Law to Drinking at 18 however some clubs and Bars still refused under 21. Nowadays i can not imagine that happening anymore. I mean when i got posted to germany at 18 you could drink and club the whole night and we even had a Brothel across from the camp gates. we used have our last drink of the night in "Angies Cabaret"... let the Girls feel your boner a bit.. when we got a new guy we got him lashed with drink and took him in there and we all put money together and got him laid(if he was up to it with all the drink) some of the Best Guys i met in the army( some dicks too where i had a few fights) but you always get a few.. Anyway just my fucking 2 cents as you yanky boys say....

The Brits currently send their guys to Cyprus for 2-3 days of drinking and fighting so they don't go back and beat their wives. We are treated like kids, no porn...no booze. There are certain places outside of the current war zone that you can drink...but its a 2 beer or mixed drink limit...all AF bases supporting the war effort. We also fucked thew brits in 2006 as they adopted the no booze thing in Iraq and Afghanistan. Its not like you can't get booze...and the net isn't really blocked so you can get porn but if your with toolbags you'll get in trouble for the porn.
