Of course you think that. You have never been politically active a day of your life. But this is not a case of mere political pandering. Grassroots libertarian-conservative activists, mostly acting underneath the umbrella group Campaign for Liberty and by the direction of Ron Paul and Rand Paul, have managed to get 2/3 of the House to cosponsor the Audit the Fed bill and then they managed to get it passed with a 3/4 vote. Here in Michigan, we got all of our Republican Congressmen to cosponsor the bill. How did we do this? By understanding confrontational politics and consequently applying pressure on politicians. Most politicians are mostly interested in being elected, so they are very sensitive to any kind of organized group that can inflict political pain on them. This is not Romney pandering - but of him realizing that there is a new powerful grassroots pressure group out there that he'll have to play ball with if he wants to succeed.
