Curious as to if any of you Open Carry and how often?

I have done so... only to and from the gun range though.

Never just riding around.

I do leave it in the seat on top of a towel when transporting.

I'm seeing it a lot more everyday here in AZ. I'm totally cool with it. I haven't felt the need to yet, but my .45 is almost always in my truck or in my pack round chambered ready to go.

Can't carry firearms open or concealed here in Illinois.

I would love to carry a concealed firearm however I wouldn't want to open carry.
I think it freaks people out when they see a gun on someone's hip during normal everyday activities like going to bank or grocery store.

That sucks about Illinois.

In NC you can open carry with no permit and concealed carry with a permit.

I prefer open carry to concealed.

Its in the same ballpark like "Fall" as in the season "fall" - leaves are falling so we call it fall

I think they are neat and fun, but anybody who wants to make a point of "his rights" hahaha by carrying a shotgun in a busy shopping mall closely followed by his comrades in "arms" filming the cops needs to be shot on the spot - I don't even know how they are tollerated by the general public? Why don't they beat the ever loving shit out of these guys? They don't shoot you anyways, since most of these spineless cowards need to "carry a firearm" to be tough.

Doesn't seem so smart. Makes you the first obvious target if someone is going to start shooting and even a piss poor fighter could take it off your hip if you're surprised. Also makes you a target for police in tense situations, of interest to the police in calm situations, and reduces the amount of time police will spend scanning the room for bad guys since they need to focus on the guy with the pistol.

Now ask any one of these guys and they will preach to you about the constitution and about their forefathers and history and freedom and liberty and all that horseshit.
But drill right down to it and you will almost instantly to 99% see that these guys like to wear firearms because they get looks and they feel like their on a program - that special feeling you get when you know the whole world is against you that feeling you are unique.
