Photoshop guys - I need some help...

I'm trying to get this picture of me adjusted, basically I want to delete the entire background and have me just standing in front of a totally plain background (like white or light blue, something that looks like it was taken at a studio or something.)

Normally I can do this stuff, but for some reason my photoshop is just not responding!
