Alba is a spanish name over 5-6 centurys HAHAHA From the Alba of the river Tormes in Castilla. Here in Spain all children must to study history

She is descent from DOZENS of kings, spanis, austrias, frenchs, english, scotties...!!!

Sorry to have to correct you my Spanish friend but Alba was the name for Scotland 2000 years ago. Alba Kingdom of the Picts. I believe it comes from the Latin word applied to the Scottish region by the Romans. Your Spanish Alba de Tormes is named after Alba ie Scotland. In ancient latin it means "the little hot scotland place" You should be proud.

The Dutchess of Alba associates herself mostly with decent from King James the 7th of Scotland who was also king James the 2nd of Great Britain because Great Britain ruled the world over the last thousand years or so. Much more importaint to associate yourself with being decended from the King of britain than the Spanish, Austrian, French etc minor royal families.

She refers to herself as Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart 18th Duchess of Alba because james stuart is the name of king james of scotland.
